Roll Call has where he left his battle-plan for September with his lawyer, Billy Martin. [http://www.rollcall.com/audiofiles/larrycraig.mp3 ] It went sometime like this…..
Uggh… I wish he would stay resigned just so we can get back to important news on Britney, Paris and Lindsey.
Hey…I heard through the grapevine that he might not be resigning after all….
the saga continues…

If he didn’t do it, why should he resign?
He plead guilty to it. If he had hired an attorney to fight the charge he would have had a shot at surviving. Probably a slim one but…
His remarks rang dishonorable to me. He stated in his resignation speech (“The people of Idaho deserve a senator who can devote 100 percent of his time and effort to the critical issues of our state and of our nation,”) implying that he is resigning because of this legal mess, rather than taking responsibility for his intended acts.
The emphatic pleading at the end of the press conference “I am not gay,” is also insulting.
I could care less if he is gay. The most troublesome thing to me is that he seems to think it is more offensive to be gay, than to be attempting to engage in a public sex act – and arguably more importantly, an affair on his wife, and an offense to his family.
For this lost sense of moral direction…perhaps his resignation is well overdue.
Not nearly as bad as Notre Dame getting beat 3-33 by Georgia Tech.
If he didn’t do it, why should he resign? Oh…. gotta take one for the [Republican] team. Get it behind them so the voter isn’t equating Republicans with gays [instead of strange men in bathrooms], that’s the Democrats after all.
Eh…. can’t say I’m not glad he’s gone. Hopefully, Idaho Republicans will find a more moderate candidate.
When you plead guilty to something creepy like soliciting anonymous sex in an airport bathroom don’t be surprised when your political career ends on a sour note. 😎
