Brenda Namigadde remains in the UK – for now

The BBC is reporting just now that Brenda Namigadde will not be required to leave the UK tonight as had been planned. Here is more…

Lawyers for Ms Namigadde lodged papers at the High Court asking a judge to grant an injunction against her deportation, which was due to take place on Friday evening.

When the BBC spoke to Ms Namigadde by phone on Friday afternoon she was already being escorted to Heathrow airport.

Her lawyer, Abdulrahman Jafar, said he would argue that Ms Namigadde should be allowed to remain in the UK regardless of her sexuality.

“The press coverage about her activities certainly expose her to a real risk if she is to be returned to Uganda,” he said.

David Kato, who was recently beaten to death, led condemnation of the Anti-Homosexuality Bill

The Home Office confirmed the granting of the injuction and said Ms Namigadde would not have to be deported on Friday night.

  1. Have heard that Brenda has now been granted a Judicial Review by the Court of Appeal. Hearing on Friday, I gather.

  2. Bahitler goes bonkers and calls in the heavies … and sends them to the wrong place!

I think it is a shame that we allow into our nation foreigners who do not wish us well. Why on earth did the Ugandan High Commission in London issue a visa to that agent provocateur? I do not blame David Bahati for reacting the way he did. Why should an English gay sex propagandist come all the way from the UK to harass a parliamentarian in Uganda?

  3. No, darling – Mills didn’t have the armed guard – it was your boy that called out the cavalry!

As for the UG High Commission’s decision to grant a visa: well, ask them.

Rather embarrassing for you, I admit – you like to try to appear reasonable, but then up pops a loony and blows your cover.

Anyway … on the matter of ‘being reasonable’: how do YOU (in your habitual capacity as an anti-gay propagandist) justify punishing gay people for activities (such as consensual* sex outside of marriage) for which straight people are not to be punished? What jurisprudential principles do you cite for doing so?

  4. Brenda has now been released from detention:

Good for her !!! I am not surprised. The Euro-American Gay Propagandist Lobby is a juggernaut in the West. Anyways, this sets a precedent for all those who wish to emigrate to Britain. Simply claim that you are sodomite in danger of being machine-gunned if sent home. Make sure to enlist the support of the pro-gay propagandists and presto !!—your asylum issues are over. No British judge—however brilliant and tough —-can afford to fight the “you-want-to-send-this-gay-asylum-seeker-to-a-certain-death” blackmail from these lobby groups. All an asylum seeker needs is to stand firm on his/her claims because insisting that you are gay in a consistent manner is usually sufficient since UK cannot violate “gay rights” by checking the backside of male claimants for evidence of sodomy or adopting Czech Republic methods for male and female claimants. 😀

  6. Good.

But the campaign needs to be continued until she has leave to remain in the U.K..

Feel free to make your views known in no uncertain terms on the government of my country! I reject the idea of ‘my country – right or wrong!’

  7. ‘Maazi’

How do you justify punishing gay people for activities (such as consensual* sex outside of marriage) for which straight people are not to be punished? What jurisprudential principles do you cite for doing so?

    * Just to remind you that you have now accepted that there is such a thing as consensual same-sex activity – in fact, if not in law in UG.

Well, I’m very pleased that [BLEEP] has been granted a judicial review, and hope that [BLEEP]’s case is properly reviewed in the light of any evident deficiencies in prior procedures and the new ‘evidence’ concerning [BLEEP]’s sexuality supplied by David Bahati’s unsolicited ‘intervention’, and any other new evidence.

My very best wishes to [BLEEP] and those supporting [personal pronoun (accusative case) witheld for legal reasons].

  9. Perhaps I should stop being rude about Bahati. He really has done a fantastic job of advancing the human rights agenda. I feel sorry that many decent Ugandans have had to experience such acute embarrassment in the light of Bahati’s evident lunacy (‘I love gays – but I want to kill them all’) and deceit (‘my bill is really designed just to punish child abusers – honest gov.’).

Many of my UG friends just love the epithet ‘Bahitler’! ‘Bahatchet’ works OK, as does ‘Bahater’. How about ‘Bahammer’ (or is that a bit ‘close to the bone’, given recent events)?

  10. You sound very excited, dear (your language is a little intemperate today*).

Your “observation” is merely a figment of your imagination.

But, of course, I’m delighted that you understand just how strong our human rights campaign is!

I acknowlegde that the pro-gay propagandist lobby is powerful in the West. Gayism has nothing to do with human rights.

I’ve noticed that most homophobic people like to indulge in graphic, often sexual, language, as well throwing around words like ‘deviant’, ‘criminal’ and ‘sodomite’ with monotonous regularity. But this is hardly surprising, given the confused and violent mindset of such people.

Am I supposed to be relied up by this tosh? 😀

  14. Did you, by any chance, say something about ‘lying’ earlier, ‘Maazi’ dear?

  15. Poor old ‘Maazi’: just when he thinks he might have ‘won’ a point, one of his own allies goes and screws it all up! With friends like that, who needs enemies?!

Of course, Bahitler is a legal ignoramus: telling someone that one is gay is not an ‘offence’ in the Penal Code. But, I’m sure such ‘legal niceties’ don’t worry the likes of Bahitler … which is one good reason why [BLEEP] should be allowed to remain in the U.K.!

  19. Of course, that judge COMPLETELY missed the point.

Asylum is not granted to people so that they can ‘enjoy freedoms’; it is for those who need protection against rogue regimes/elements in their country of origin.

  20. I’m sorry, but I have to say it: the judge who made that determination on [BLEEPS]’s case seems like a silly old fool to me. What a load of convoluted sophistry!

What a good thing that the Court of Appeal saw [personal possessive pronoun withheld for legal reasons] case differently!

  23. Bahati made the first contact to ‘that American woman’ (as you, ‘Maazi’, describe her).

I see, ‘Maazi’, that you accuse ‘gay sex propagandists’ (as you put it) of lying. What are these lies you cite? What evidence do you have for this ‘lying’?

Also, how do YOU (in your habitual capacity as an anti-gay propagandist) justify punishing gay people for activities (such as consensual* sex outside of marriage) for which straight people are not to be punished? What jurisprudential principles do you cite for doing so?

Bahati did not make any unsolicited interventions. The case of Miss Brenda Namigadde was not reported much in the local press. Gay sex propagandists were desperate to keep Brenda in UK so they contrived to use Bahati to get their way.

One American woman who runs a gay propagandist website called the Ndorwa West lawmaker and intimated him about the case and then asked his opinions on what will happen if a gay sex practitioner returned to Uganda and contravened the sex crime laws. Poor David Bahati—oblivious to the fact that he was being set-up and used—- answered the questions put to him by the American Woman in an appropriate manner. The woman recorded his words, disseminated them to some gay obsessed western media organizations and together they all applied emotional blackmail on British judges to stand down their reasonable verdict on what is clearly a sham asylum case.

Without the hullabaloo of the Western press and unsolicited phone calls made by that American woman to MP David Bahati, Brenda could have returned home discreetly. She would never have been arrested or even harassed unless she landed at the airport and screamed that she was “a gay sex lover”. Since she is not really a gay sex practitioner, the likelihood of arrest and harassment is ZERO. The truth was that gay sex propagandists—being professional liars and deceivers—choreographed the whole drama surrounding that asylum case to give Brenda right of stay in the UK.

  37. OK. Then perhaps David Bahatchet could issue a public statement condemning his own misleading statement on the matter, and Brenda can then return to UG safely.

(My own involvement in this matter started because of what Bahatchet said, which appeared to give credence to the idea that Brenda is a lesbian … but then – if this report is representative of the truth [the Daily Telegraph is not the most ‘progressive’ of publications] – we know that Bahatchet is a habitual liar.)

Oh by the way, Bahatchet still hasn’t sent Rachel Maddow his ‘evidence’ for ‘recruitment’. Maybe he’s been too busy trying to sort out his ‘interesting’ business arrangements.

  39. We’ll see, dear.

If you ever decide to come, I’ll tell the authorities that you are NOT gay!

    Night, night!

  40. Though I have no problems with any African who wishes to stay in the land of the former colonial occupiers, I do think that Brenda’s story has lots of holes in them which led the UK government and judiciary to reject her claims of being a gay sex practitioner. For instance, she claims that she was chased out from Uganda with her Canadian gay sex bed-mate. If this is the case, then why did she not run to Canada with her Canadian bed-mate and claim asylum there? Why go to the UK? Anyways, I foresee a giant boom in cases of African economic migrants claiming “gayism” as the reason for asylum. And since UK is too liberal to adopt Czech methods of analyzing this sort of claims, I think lots of migrants would be heading to the British Isles and many of them will say “I am gay and will be machine-gunned on my return home, please grant me right of stay”
