It could have been the school district or other group that leaked the letter to avoid a lawsuit and place in blatant public scrutiny his motive and reason for quitting. Should a lawsuit come out of his resignation – his letter will become an important document – of which he will have had plenty of time to respond if he intends.
I love that his letter says, “I don’t intend to make a big deal out of this. “ and yet it seems his resignation letter has been distributed to nearly all media. It sounds like he is using the GSA non-issue to get out of his contract and/or become a right-ring martyr.
Given the mis-information about what GSA are for in his resignation letter, I suspect the students (esp. the gay ones) will be better off without him there.
