Wilderness Outcry is off

Wilderness Outcry, touted as the beginning of the Third Great Awakening, is off. From the WO website this morning:

Official Update

Dear Friend of DSM and Wilderness Outcry,

We are very sorry to announce that due to a lack of funds, the large 5-day gathering called Wilderness Outcry will no longer take place this upcoming summer. We believe this vision is of the Lord, and certainly no one can deny the desperate need of our nation for prayer, but the reality is that provision for the high cost of doing an event like this – most of which must be paid in advance – has simply not materialized.

This was never intended to be a money-making event. Without charging a registration fee for attending, we knew our costs would be several hundred thousand dollars. We were confident we could raise this money. We were wrong. The line between true faith and presumption can be very fine sometimes, and our ability to truly discern God’s will can be difficult. Obviously, we fell short in both areas.

We are saddened and grieved with this development and repent for any presumption on our part. We sincerely ask your forgiveness for any inconvenience this has caused you.

For those of you who have registered and paid for a campsite, we will issue you a full refund. For those of you who have donated to Wilderness Outcry, you will be receiving a personal email from my office.

To contact my office with any questions, email: [email protected].

For awakening,

Dutch Sheets

  1. Wilderness Outcry Not Canceled:

The Outcry is not canceled, God’s people are gathering together. The local paper gave this information about the prayer gathering at Moriah Ranch, Website http://www.moriahranchpb.com e-mail [email protected] or call the temporary office at 573-727-9437 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

  2. I am a hairstylist. I marked my book out for a week to attend this event. Being self employed means no work, no pay. However, I was so excited for this when I heard. I was eager to take that week off for the cause. I am disappointed of course, but am extremely grateful that the powers that be decided to call this of soon enough for me to “re-book” that week and not loose thef work. I will certainly know in advance that I can trust that your team will make the right decisions. This shows it to me. In our church we spell faith: R-I-S-K. Thank you so much. God Bless.

    1. Karen: Thanks for that perspective. I am curious whether your faith in Rev. Sheets prophetic voice has wavered since he said that God had confirmed that the event was to take place.

  3. Dutch and Wilderness Outcry Believers.

We have to listen to what the Lord puts on our hearts and in our ears. No presumptions, or inconvienience for Gods people.

I gave you a word along time ago when you were in Albany Oregon with Chuck. It was about you stepping out and God was going to do something different and much more incredible than one could believe. But take warning because the enemy was not going to like it one bit.

I was making my arrangements to come to this event, I was struggling with trusting that I had heard the Lord say go to Poplar bluff and with the cost of getting there. I am a single and raising 3 grandchildren. I live on a very small income. I live on less than most pay in rent a month. But I have learned many lessons from you and from Chuck Pierce. Giving, recieveing, walking in what the Lord speaks to you.

I am a gal that has the gift of Prophesy, not a gift that is the most comfortable to use and even harder when speaking into such Leaders as you and Chuck. But I did it once and believing in what I heard the Lord say to me for you. When I was sent an email about this cancelation I felt a urge to call you personally and to call you into standing in what you have been told by the Lord and the confirmations about this mighty time of a National Worship and Prayer time, in Poplar Bluff. Stand firm in what you have heard the Lord say and Walk in what He has called you to do. It is always in Gods timing, give Him his timing and don’t pressume you and the others have fallen short of anything, remember we all fall short but we have God. God does not work that way. Give Him His timing, You put a call out to His people, let them step forth, this is a call on Gods children to take a stand in the having a spirit of poverty that the enemy wants to keep over the United States,as well as keep others from walking in what they have heard the Lord say to them. You put out the call and watch God work and watch your funds come in…..

In Christ our Lord and Savior.

    Sandy
