That is legit according to John Fea's excellent book, Was America Founded as a Christian Nation? A Historical Introduction.
Of course the quote is not specifically Christian, since the Unitarian Adams was not an orthodox Christian at all. Fea devotes a chapter to Adams. Anybody who uses that quote in support of Christian nationalism is being either ignorant or dishonest.

Like many of the Founders, Adams thought religion shaped the sort of citizens that the new country needed, but did not envision that religion needing to specifically be Christianity. Fea also documents Adams' rejection of Christian orthodoxy, for example strongly rejecting the Trinity and the deity of Jesus. Here's one quote from Adams: An incarnate God!!! An eternal, self-existent omnipresent omniscient Author of this stupendous Universe suffering on a Cross!!! My Soul starts with horror, at the Idea.

So is this an accurate quote or not from John Adams - "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." I haven't found anything that indicates it is spurious.

Since "Christian Nationalists" worship Mammon rather than the Triune God, they would most certainly allow a money maker like baseball, to be played any day of the week.
