The way the bystanders arranged themselves, their body language, posture, the way they approached or moved away from the victim clearly indicated the us vs him mentality. This was obvious. They weren’t simply neutral unbiased bystanders.

Payday is the current American way justice is served these days and is far more satisfying than retribution or punishment amiright. Lol. Rehabilitation doesn’t even factor into the US justice system. The US public considers that to be “weak on crime”. 2 million prisoners and counting. You must be so proud to live in the land of the free.

Not “obvious” to me. What I saw of the bystanders was that they turned around to see what was happening and some appeared to move towards the scene (possibly to get a better look) AFTER Metaxas ran by, the bystanders headed back in the direction. None of them “got in his way” or “came to Metaxas’ aid” as you claimed. The bystanders did nothing to warrant the threats they received.

No one “came to Metaxas’ aid” there. They were just people on the street observing the confrontation. Nor did they “get in his way.” they were on the side of the street while Metaxas’ was running up the center of the street.

The protestor didn’t press charges (which I believe he should have). However, there was talk of a lawsuit, which would indicate he was more interested in a payday rather than justice.

FFS. They got in his way implying they supported Metaxas’ actions thereby making them complicit and just as guilty in the victims eyes. Put yourself in his shoes. Everyone acts differently after randomly being punched in the back of the head while riding their bike on the street.

That protester should have demanded charges be laid and also sued Metaxas. That would have been justice. I’m sure that’s what would’ve happened if the protester had punched Metaxas.

You can’t sucker punch someone that is either “in your face” or is being threatening and “using fighting words”. In order to be able to sucker punch someone, especially in the back of the head, would mean they had their guard down and were moving away with their back to you.

You don’t get to use physical violence on someone because you don’t agree with their politics, especially when you portray yourself as a stand up Christian with the high moral ground. It appears to me like Metaxas is a weak ass opportunist hypocrite.
