There are so many of you out there that pretty soon we’ll be seeing support groups starting up for A CON, Adult Children of (Fox) News viewers.

One of those arguments centered on a full House vote authorizing an impeachment inquiry. Judge Howell said that the argument was “fatally flawed.” “Even in cases of presidential impeachment, a House resolution has never, in fact, been required to begin an impeachment inquiry.”

Much as it pains me to say this, but even the more sane voices on Fox cannot pierce the delusional bubble of committed Trumpists. I witness it first hand with my parents (both in their 70s). When the Mueller report came out Judge Napolitano released a number of videos on Fox news clearly explaining how Trump obstructed justice. My father dismissed it out of hand.

Other things that conservative television/radio has convinced my father of (to name a few):
…That Amazon didn’t actually ‘not pay any taxes’.
…That Bernie Sanders is actually taking corporate donations money despite what Sanders says.
…That Trump has a high IQ.
…That Hitler was a Socialist!

Over the years I and my spouse have always had ‘interesting’ and ‘animated’ political discussions with my father. Since the Trump presidency, we really cant discuss politics at all; mostly because we can’t even have reality as a frame of reference.

It really is depressing…
