Update: The defendants in the lawsuit are going on the offensive, demanding all the documentation on the church’s and MacDonald’s own finances going back more than a decade.

Somehow I suspect the plaintiffs will be fighting tooth and nail to keep those documents from being put into the public record.

In reply to Amy Moore. He may have pastoral support from other friends in his tight-knit theological circle, Reformed folks with a cut-throat approach to business leadership and church growth. But that doesn't tell objective onlookers who aren't smitten by Wayne Gruden anything. James' "exegesis" of 1 Cor 6 is simply a convenient reading to fit his own circumstances and force that passage to NOT apply to him.
