This letter from Bob Merritt is weak sauce. Bob Merrit was on the board of Willow Creek Association, and ever so very quietly resigned. We are spineless and unflawed, with a perfect reputation, we, unlike Bill Hybels, Willow Creek, or the GLS, are in no need of learning from our mistakes. And let that be a lesson to them all.

In reply to Living Liminal. Good point. And TrumpPutin, still a favorite among a statistical majority of U.S. White Evangelicals, rejects the foundational biblical principle of repentance. So I'm gonna guess Eagle Brook will not endanger their White Evangelical meal ticket.

In reply to Living Liminal. Yes, the line, "Bill was historically a big draw for us," jumped out at me. Why in the world would this statement be part of the letter? So the real reason is that you don't think enough people will come this year? Wow.
