The Special Master for the Michael Cohen investigation submitted approx 330,000 for monthly hours. That was approx 700.00 per hour split between defense and DOJ.

If GFA had roughly comparable billing, it would be merely cost of doing business. The Cohen S/M was reviewing very substantial document inventory. Dragged on for considerable time, it could conceivably be viewed as a profitable line of business.

I would assume Locke Lord has to abide by the wishes of their client. The law firm is going to get paid for any work done (the more the merrier), but isn’t their reputation somewhat on the line?

They could say to KP – an appeal isn’t in your best interests, but if he says, do it – short of dropping him as a client, if he says appeal it, don’t they have to appeal?

Isn’t it their job to say, this is where we are at, these are your options?

I’m assuming the other plaintiffs have no say because they are: related to KP or employees of KP, with the exception of David Carroll who left GFA. I’m also assuming the GFA board has nothing to say because they aren’t involved in the court case. Do they sign the cheques to the law firm?

In his position in GFA at the time, he either knew that or he didn’t, or he believed what someone else higher up (KP) told him.
He is a CPA. If he knowingly lied, then what are the consequences for him?

There is no way that this blog isn’t monitored by the law firms on both sides, and various others. This appeal doesn’t appear to be anything other than a stalling tactic, since the information above is in the public domain, I have to wonder what the lawyers are thinking.

If GFA is truly innocent of any wrongdoing, why wouldn’t they gladly welcome the appointment of an independent counsel to review their evidence? They claim they are being persecuted by evil and disgruntled people. If they are innocent, the appointment of independent counsel is their golden opportunity to make this all go away quickly and completely. They shouldn’t fear it – they should actively welcome and embrace it . Unless…. they have something to hide.

The fact is that during the time period in question, KP hoarded $376M in donations in foreign bank accounts, that were intended to provide immediate, desperately needed relief to the indigent. Donors thought they were literally saving thousands of children from death from deadly waterborne diseases. Tens of thousands of innocent children unnecessarily DIED during this time frame, while the donors’ money sat in foreign banks collecting dust and 6% interest (per FC-6). Once this travesty was brought to light by Warren, KP started aggressively spending that cash down, mainly by investing in real estate. That STILL did not provide any necessary relief to those who were intended to be helped by the contributions.

The fact that a lawsuit filed in Arkansas could compel BC to start frantically spending down 9 figure balances, illustrates the degree of control GFA US effectively has over BC. BTW, GFA specifically told ECFA they would have BC engage in an immediate spend down plan. Folks, if GFA US had no control or influence over BC, then GFA could not have made ECFA that promise, let alone executed it, as they have.

All Locke Lord is doing is buying GFA more time to collect their nearly $1M a week in donations, from the most gullible donors who are tuning out the fancy lawyer terms like “Writ of Mandamus”. In reality, their weekly donations are going towards more real estate and these expensive legal fees, with only a fraction helping the poor and destitute.

Celebrities like Francis Chan standing by GFA despite the overwhelming amount of evidence against them, serve to fleece more innocent donors. That is scandalous. Allegedly, GFA has made contact with larger donors explaining that they are being persecuted by an evil judge who hates Christians. What will be their excuse when another judge sides with the plaintiffs and orders GFA to comply with the rules of discovery?

Why isn’t the MSM concerned about these particular children dying?
