He was right on point, he challenged the emergent, liberal thinking, he challenged me to grow, he wrote great stuff for men. Now I will not touch anything he does. His book Real Marriage was the start. The stuff in there was pornographic and misogynistic (especially the anal sex stuff…oh yes he did). Then he started speaking as if he were hearing the voice of God and “god” was telling him things that were contrary to scripture. Then he threw his elders under the bus (men who are in authority over the pastor…not the other way around). Now all this and more has made me believe that Mark is no longer willing to be the man God has called all of us to be. Mark is no better than anyone else. He doesn’t get special treatment because of his “celebrity”. Mark Driscoll needs to repent now and come under the authority of his church.
