I think the NY Times called David Lane a "stealth weapon" of the religious right.
Warren, I know Lane has been associated with "restoration/renewel" projects and Huckabee, Barton, Wildmon and the AFA; but where is he mentioned before your reference to the missing AFA article? Am I blind and miss it? Or did he stealthily sneak in?
I've been getting a lot of mailings from Rand Paul of late. I think it's because I am an NRA member.

Ah, I see. The Iowa Renewal Project is David Lane's project. I see that I just assumed the reader would know that. I will fix it.

It will be interesting to see what (if anything) Paul and Cruz have to say about Barton. Smart money says they will be noncommittal about him.
I find it amusing how the program lists Barton as a "historian" though :)

Libertarians would do a poor job, if they supported nobody like fellow libertarians. Their natural task is to support all kinds of cognitive/emotive minorities against the mainstream.
In this case, the point is that members of the Christian minority have, as persons, just the same general right to "impose" their ideas on public institutions as everyone else. You may be a Christian, but that doesn't justify the majority to deny you that general right.
(One might argue, from an anabaptist stand, that Christian persons should prefer living separate from the seculars. But that's not a question of general ethics - libertarianism has to do with general ethics - neither is it the view of the evangelical left.)
