Beck said on GBTV with Barton yesterday that his company “Mercury One” will print Barton’s book not Simon and Schuster.

While I’m not surprised that Beck would back the publishing of Barton’s mess of a book, I’m shocked by Simon and Schuster. If S&S thinks that the controversy surrounding the errors in the book equals $ales then I think they’re mistaken. Their reputation is more important than the few — and I do mean few — sales they’ll receive from this book — especially after so many pointing out Barton’s egregious errors.

I very much doubt the name “Simon and Schuster’ will appear anywhere in the new print. They will simply distribute it and take their cut of the sales without any sort of endorsement.

Wow, I find it interesting that you didn’t point out that Glenn made it very clear to David that he is willing to publish the book, but that he wants David to give answers to 23 points in the book that you and others have pointed out that are incorrect before he will do so. David made it clear that he is dedicated to the truth and is open to taking something out if it is proven he is incorrect.
