Btw, Warren, will there be a print version of "Getting Jefferson Right"?

I hope so. If there will be, I'd like to urge your readers to buy copies of it and have it sent to Barton directly :)

Strangeness on this website. A bit off topic, but I've discovered a very odd problem with this website. It doesn't appear to be updating, further it appears to be presenting different home page to different locations. For example, from this site the last post I see is this one. And the last comment posted under "Recent Comments" is from Zoe on "Baptist minister justifies child abuse". Yet from another machine (in the same domain) the last post I see is "Baptist minister justifies child abuse" (dated May 5, 2012 at 9:34 pm) and the last comment posted under "Recent Comments" is from hazemyth on "Baptist minister justifies child abuse" (dated May 2, 2012 2:44 pm).

I've tested access to the site from several different machines running both Linux and Windows and using the firefox and MS Internet Explorer browsers (as well as some other web tools to grab the index page).

Warren, thank you very much for the important work you are doing in providing a corrective to Barton. It seems especially valuable when the criticism of Barton's misleading claims comes from people who identify as conservative and Christian: hopefully, that will allow some number of people who deeply distrust "liberals" to take the facts seriously.

Important as it is to have books and blogs like yours out there, it seems clear that a large faction of Barton's admirers will not be budged by refutation of his claims. Do you have thoughts about what is going on in the minds of those who insist on believing that Barton speaks the truth, even when faced with overwhelming evidence to the contrary? That mentality is really hard for me to get my head around.
