The most charitable thing one can say about Barton here is that some atheists also occasionally exaggerate Jefferson’s positions to suit themselves, and that Barton is, therefore, not MUCH worse. (But Barton is probably a little worse than the atheists, at least in the sense that Jefferson probably would’ve preferred to be mistaken for an atheist than mistaken for a believer in the literal physical Resurrection.)
