Admitting you are wrong is very important. But actually believing you are wrong will lead to the action of correcting the atrocities of the past. The government issued this apology, but how much has actually been done to correct this?

How many people are really aware of this apology? What is truly being done to correct this? Native Americans still live on reservations and are living int he utmost poverty of any ethnic group in this country. It is widely interesting that after all the ill will done to these native people over the past 500 or so years, and what continues to be done or not done to help theses people, that the native american people still remaine committed to the protection of this country. They have served in the US armed forces on a per capita basis more that any other ethnic group! It is time to stop talking, and hiding the truth! It is time to believe in the wrong that has been done and to take swift and immediate action to begin correcting it!

Admitting you're wrong is the first step. But Amends means change and words don't change anything. In fact, now that the US government has admitted it's atrocities, it must follow that with a CORRECTION of the ill will it created. Since the Indian Removal Act, this 180 year social experiment with a Nation OF PEOPLE, has severly failed. The First Nations People never wanted to be white. They are freedom loving people who were invaded by "ENTITLED White People from a foreign land. These foreigners sought to destroy the Native People with small pox blankets, Gatling guns, imprisonment, destruction of their native language, spirituality and self respect. The first genocide, chemical warfare, the introduction of whiskey proved to be dibilitating and fatal. The English, Spaniards and other Europeans who felt entitled to land, under the direction of the queen and their holy book, have committed sins against Creator's children and a simple apology is NOT a remedy to the 500 years of damage that has been done. America owes a tremendous karmic debt to the original inhabitants of this land. TIME TO MAKE AMENDS!!! not just words, but true actions. Blessings on your walk
