Pastor Ssempa does not believe that outings in Newspapers is an appropriate method. Pastor Ssempa is counselling homosexuals and victims of homosexuality whose confidence he has kept until they have been willing to go public.

Interesting that Ssempa is now against actions such as public outings which exist in the sections of the bill for which he so self-righteously fought. I guess he is also now in favor of letting a priest/minister slide on reporting an active gay or lesbian.

His latter-day ideas on the bill have been rather strange. His pastors group created a statement which sought not to lower sentencing on ‘simple homosexuality’ but instead sought to lower criminal penalties on what they called ‘aggravated homosexuality’ but was, in fact, mostly pedophilia and same-sex rape of those incompetent to give consent. Add to that they wanted to interject their Christian counseling into the law for pedophiles. Like they actually thought they could cure pedophiles of such serious personality defects.
