May be it’s time to realize that when we seek God’s will sometimes (though we may claim to have found it) we have missed the mark and succumbed to our own wills once again.

Or…

Stop claiming we know God’s will for others.

You are right Mary. It’s time for the moderates of all faiths to step forward and deal with their extreme elements. Then we could all live in peace.

Even the biblically inclined are not all terrorists or extremists to the point of imposing their will onto others. It is scarey though to watch so called christians calling for the death of another person.

This whole thing is scary. If this does proceed the ‘fundies’ will take that as a catalyst and be pushing even harder in ‘western’ nations.

I’m coming to the conclusion that the world is getting closer to a religious war, not between differing religions but between religions and reason.

As the world becomes more alert to the terrorist acts perpetrated by some religions, people are waking up and becoming more aware of the various influences the more ‘mainstream’ religions are continuously attempting to have on society and politics.

Thus the rise of ‘new-atheism’ and the higher profiles of people such as Dawkins and Hitchens. Even down to people like myself now actively participating in the blogosphere to rail against the biblically inclined.
