You have articulated this very well. I have tried to say similar things but it didn’t come out as well. Whenever organizations or religions or egos become punitive and coercive and manipulative over the people who they supposedly serve, the human spirit is diminished. They promote themselves and their mindset as the answer to human needs while the message of personal redemption and God’s love and grace, which can only be experienced on an individual level, is diluted, if not lost in their zeal to pursue and advance their cause.
