Government did not sponsor this Bill. It is a private member’s Bill.

Realizing that the bill has been introduced by a private member rather than by the government at large seems significant. The sentence that follows seems to indicate that Bahti is receiving pressures from both within and without to drop the bill. Again, good news!!
