I am the parent of a 21 year old lesbian and have found a lot of support from NARTH and also from Richard Cohen. I come from a very strict religion that practices shunning. NARTH and especially Richard’s book for parents have helped me keep a loving open relationship with my daughter without feeling like I have to compromise my view of morality. In fact, I am using their work to help other parents in my religion to reconnect with their adult children with SSA.

Richard and especially Janelle Hallman, (author of The Heart of Female Same Sex Attraction) have taught me that our children with SSA are often our most gifted and sensitive. We as parents need to be proactive.

My daughter is quite the lesbian activist at her school. While I do not agree with her politics, I continue to be proud of her leadership skills and her growing ability to respect other viewpoints.

I will say again, if the real intent of the law was to make the penalties equal for girls and boys, then simply include boys as potential victims in current law.

I am also very concerned about mis-information being circulated about this Bill. Thanks, Warren, for your continuing efforts to speak the truth about it.
