From Alan Chambers in the Blade article:

[Focus on the Family] deals a lot with education issues and policy issues from a legislative perspective — and the whole gay rights movement,” he said. “That’s not a focus of Exodus. We really want Love Won Out to reflect the ministry aspect of all this and just do that primarily.”

Even if the move is largely financial, this can only be a good thing for Exodus-- less involvement in politics and less involvement with FOTF. A more independent, more politically neutral Exodus feels like a return to the founders' original vision -- and a reaffimration of Exodus's ministry roots. Add to that Exodus's recent efforts to make it even clearer what change is and what it isn't. Happy to see this all happening.

I took a side trip to the Love Won Out website; their take on 'change' barely mentions 'all the way to OSA'.

I believe this transition could be a positive step.

This will make Exodus more responsible for the content...

Given it's roots and direction, I think this can be quite good.

It creates more separation from politically driven science.

Now to get GLBT political advocates to withdraw from the APA.
