					<description><![CDATA[Kind of makes you wonder: if some people share psychotic beliefs in groups, I think larger groups or societies can hold beliefs that have nothing to do with reality, even if they are consistent in themselves. Mass delusions can serve practical purposes too.
Maybe what we&#039;re seeing here is just the tip of the iceberg, people displaying in excess a faculty that&#039;s present in many: man&#039;s capacity to delude oneself is huge! Just read what assortment of beliefs people have been supporting throughout history, some of them really far-out. We&#039;re probably doing it right now, if you know what I mean. ;)]]></description>
