Happy belated Thanksgiving to all :) It was good to step away from the blog for a few days and just enjoy fellowship with friends and family. The weather was cold but our bellies and hearts were warm - perhaps it was the wine, but it was a good day. I hope everyone had as enjoyable a time :)

Eddy, it is one of my life's missions!

We are nearing the part of the day where we beat the cooked turkey with a hammer. Glorious.

And a Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!

I enjoyed the video although I did find it disturbing. At first I thought they were having a pretend tea-party Thanksgiving dinner but then the turkey arrived at the table. I realized the parents never were going to show up. I mean...was this an early version of "Kid Nation" or what?

Did Woodstock and Snoopy slip into parental roles to help these kids along?

I'm glad that their weather was unseasonably warm. I can't remember the last time I had Thanksgiving dinner outdoors without a sweater.

And where was Pig Pen? (I portrayed him in a youth group version of "A Charlie Brown Christmas" once and sorely missed his presence here.) Was that seemingly empty place his or was it Woodstock's place? If it's Woodstock's, digging out that extra chair wasn't really necessary; if it's Pig Pen's, why didn't they wait for him? For the life of me, I can't remember the name of their black friend but I'm disturbed that they gave him the troubled chair. Some not so latent racism rearing its ugly head?

Alas, the most disturbing part, other than the hygiene implications of a dog handling all the food and the danger of allowing a dog to use a carving knife was when Woodstock partook of the turkey with obvious enjoyment. Is promoting cannabilism a hidden agenda in this film?

Oh, I take it back that the bird cannabilism was the most disturbing part. I just realize that they had no gravy. Turkey without gravy is just too weird!

As usual, Warren, you've given us a lot to think about!
