Denominations are nearing schism over such issues as you probably know.

I don’t see being attracted as a sin,…” Then, do you believe in same-sex relationships being productive if the parties are allowed to marry – or if they are married (under canadian law, their church, etc..)?

It would seem to me that if they are following their faith (reconstructionist Methodist, etc..) which interprets the Bible differently under their Christian faith, then a married same-sex couple would simply have to follow the same Christian ethics regarding sexual behavior as anyone else.

How do you view this?

I believe a Christian sexual ethic limits sexual behavior to monogamous heterosexual marriage. I don’t see being attracted as a sin, any more than being attracted to do anything that would miss the mark.

If it is true, it sounds similar to Dr. Throckmorton announcement that his “current work does not emphasize changing sexual orientation as much as it does achieving congruence with chosen beliefs and values (which may or may not lead to change of attractions). I do not want to misquote what Robbi reportedly said years ago.
