   I find it troubling to see people accepting at face value the claims of someone who claims to have been struggling with homosexuality since the age of five. How many five year olds want to have homosexual sex or even know what it is?

   Ah Anon,

   I see you fall into the “homosexuality = homosexual sex” camp.

   What Barnes undoubtedly meant was that he recalls being attracted to the same sex since he was about 5 years old. It is the attraction with which he’s been in battle, not simply a physical sex act.

   Timothy, you seem to be implying that Paul Barnes did want to have homosexual sex when he was five. Is this a correct interpretation of your remarks? Or do you mean something else?

   I highly doubt many, if any 5 year olds would say they are sexually attracted to anyone, whether gay or straight. In my case, I just thought other little boys were cuter to look at than lillte girls.
